Introduction

Who are you?

I’m a rare chronic illness patient living in a very rural area. In 2011 I developed severe neuropathy. I can’t feel my skin. I can’t control my temperature, blood pressure, heart rate or glucose. I have a pacemaker, a port, a pump, a CGM and a heart monitor. I’m an incurable case. I won’t improve. I’m also a pretty good runner. It helps me control my physical symptoms and cope emotionally.

What’s your diagnosis?

Autonomic neuropathy
